Rain, Panic, Dogs, Cleaning, Drive

I bet you cannot believe your eyes. Yet another update. I did tell you that I was going to get better at this blogging lark!

Today I was told that the rest of the week was going to be full of rain and today is the last nice day for a while. In a mad panic, I set out to clean the animals out. The ferrets first. Then the chickens. The the ducks. Then the rabbits. Then the llamas. Then a lovely walk with my sister and of course the dogs.

You might think that I had a hard time cleaning out today but fear not, I did have a helper in the form of Eddy!

Yup, that’s right. Eddy can drive.

I have the world’s smartest dog.

01/01/2012!

Hello Lalarkers! Happy New Year!

I did said to you that I am going to update my blog more often in the New Year. Well, 2012 is here and so am I!

I will be updating this blog, pretty much everyday, with a photo of either myself or Eddy or if you are very lucky, both of us!

But first, I want to say to Dexter, have a great time with your new owner, behave yourself and I cannot wait until you are all grown up as you will be an awesome dog. I am proud to looked after you for two days.

And now, it is time for what you have been waiting for …

Ta-taa! It’s both of us! I don’t mind if you print it out and stick it on your wall. It is pretty awesome.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I wish my dear Lalarkers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I do hope that your 366 (it is a leap year next year!) days are filled with happiness and joy.

I hope to update this blog more often in the year of 2012. Eddy (one of my dogs) will be helping me with this. So do check in next year! :)

Without any further ado, here are the photos that my little sister and I did for the Christmas cards this year. Enjoy.

P.S. No animals were harmed during the making of the cards!

Wedding, Puppy, Present, Airports, Danish

Hello my dear Lalarkers! I have missed you all!

So much had happened since my last blog update. I went to a wedding in Jordan.

It was just pure wow. Both the bride and the groom looked so happy and so beautiful (or handsome in David’s case!) The best part? We got them a puppy as a wedding gift!

(Now readers, I am not saying that I am supporting giving live animals as presents. Kelly is an exception as he will be spoiled and loved especially as he has me as a Godmother!)

While they are on their honeymoon, we have the pleasure of looking after the young man.

He is beyond cute! I am so glad to be calling him my Goddog.

And Lalarkers, something amazing happened to me at the airport on the way home.

I freaking got recognized! I even got a free danish out of it, and I can tell you, it tasted so good!

Airports are not that bad after all!

Until next time.

Failure, September, Blackpool, Sir, Llamas.

My dear LaLarkers. I am so sorry, I am a failure at blogging.

I know that I am lazy with my updates but I will really try to be better from now on. I cannot promise but I will try as hard as I can.

September was a pretty amazing month.

It was my little sister’s birthday. 19 years old. It is a shame that she is getting older just when I am aging backward.

I have baby chicks, four mini black silkies to be exact.

I fell in love with turkeys (real breathing ones, I am a veggie)

My parents have been married for 31 years. They even went to Blackpool and brought me a cute little purse with my name on it and by cute, I mean tacky.

An adorable kitten came to join our household. Sir Clifford Edgeworth or to his friends, Edge.

But most of all, I am an owner of three llamas. LLAMAS!!

The poor boys went through a lot of names but we have finally decided on (for now!)

Lord Theodore Kenneth (Ted)

Sir Barney Raymondo (Barney)

Master Marshall Chez (Marshall)

They are so cute!

Hello my dear Lalarkers!

You would be glad to know that even though it was a very close call, I survived the evil grasp of the wordpress smilies. I now feel as if I can do anything – I can even save the world. Under the name of LaSuper Woman!

Hmm, I will think of a better name by the time the Earth is in danger from the WordPress Smilies.

I just thought of something, what happens if they suddenly change because WordPress realised that they are evil? Then my previous blog would just look wrong. Plain wrong.

That just gave me goosebumps, but the problem is now solved. I have proof that they look super scary in the year of 2011.

Anyhow. I am sorry that I haven’t been updating my blog, it must be annoying especially after I started off so well.

I am here now, thats what matter. Right?

What have I been doing since 03/07/2011? Well, I of course went to cambridge for a short stay which was brilliant. Here is just a few photos.

We made like thousands of pizzas (by thousands, I meant 150) for Enas’ husband’s pub. We of course then treated ourselves with beautiful food from Pizza Express.

We then went to London. Where we found a cafe with swings outside. It was fun to start with …

Then it hurts.

We then went to the Diner in Camden. The food, even the menu, is very tasty! If you go, have a chocolate/vanilla milkshake with a shot of Nuttella for me!

We, of course, did all the things tourists should do in London. Including standing in a red telephone box. Did you know that the phones does actually work in those boxes?!

Thank you Enas and David, I had a wonderful time!

One of my chinchillas, March, needed an operation to have her teeth sorted. I am thankful to say that she came through and is thriving.

Then I did gardening. Lots of gardening. In preparation of my older sister and her now husband’s wedding.

That’s right, my beautiful (who looked more stunning than anybody could ever imagine on her day) older sister got married. It was a wonderful day with lovely weather. My night didn’t end too badly either, with fallen frozen chips and sick all over the bathroom.

It was not me. I do not drink. I however, for whatever bizarre reason, walked two very drunk people home with my best friend, Emma. Bright side? It sobered Emma up rather quick!

I, on other hand, felt sick. Lot of chocolate cake as well as fruit cake does not mix very well with the vision of pink sick all over the room. I am proud to say that I did not throw up.

I look forward to Erin and James’ 25th Anniversary party.

Just because I can, here is my award. His name is ‘Chilly’ and he likes to chill.

He is made of bronze, okay? So to those who picked him up and went ‘whooo!’ He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother. I mean, my award.

I will update again soon. I promise, my lovely Lalarkers.

Nightmare, Smilies, Stomach, Dream.

Last night, I had a nightmare.

The kind that you just cannot seem to wake up from. Even when you are awake, it still haunts you.

Please do not continue to read if you don’t like scary things as I am going to tell you all about it.

But should I?

Do I really want to scare my Lalarkers? Especially as I have only just found you all. No. I want my Lalarkers to be brave and to stand by me, no matter what.

I dreamt that an army of WordPress smilies were after me. How horrible is that?!

At first, it was just the one.

:)

I thought, (even when I dislike the look of them), ‘the poor little thing, all on its own.’

Then a friend came along.

:) :)

If there is anything worse than a single smily, it is a pair of smilies. I backed away, they stepped forward.

Great. I was thinking of ways to get out of such a terrible situation, I was so into my thoughts that I did not notice more coming along and before I knew it. It was a mini army.

There they were. Just staring at me.

At this point in time, I was screaming at myself to wake up. Of course I didn’t. Instead I was thinking of reasons why they might be smiling like that at me. Nothing good.

  • They want to eat me.
  • They have stomach problems.
  • They want to eat me.
  • They want to drink my blood and absorb all knowledge from my brain.
  • The wind had changed so their face stayed like that.
  • They want to eat me.

When I realised that they were just there, waiting. I decided to try a nice approach rather than running off screaming my head off.

‘Hello. It’s a nice day, isn’t it?’

*silence*

‘Erm, I might go for a stroll. You know, with the nice day and all.’

*crickets chirps*

‘Stop looking at me like that.’

*tumbleweed*

I freaked. And what worse, I could have swore that they gave birth to some more.

I have got to give them some credits. They are organized. Looking at them like that reminds me of ‘twinkle, twinkle little star’. It cheered me up a bit in the face of death.

Then all of sudden, they pounced like a lion and I woke up.

Even now, I swear I can see them. Just watching and waiting.

I hope I will survive to write my next blog. (do not panic if I do not update soon though as I am off to Cambridge for a short while)

Just know, I am truly sorry if I caused any of you to have similar dreams. I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy but I just had to tell somebody and you were just unlucky I suppose.

Welsh, Chinchillas, Sewing, France.

S’up?

I am trying something different there. You like it? S’up. Peace. No, it’s not me. Let me start again.

Bonjour!

Hang on, I am Welsh!

Shwmae.

That didn’t feel right.

Hello!

Much better! I was so tempted to put a smiley face up but recently I found out that it is a creepy face on WordPress ( :) , see?! Isn’t that so scary?! It gave me nightmares) so I am avoiding it at all cost.

Today was a good day. I have moved the chinchillas into their new cage/castle/home/palace and it is just pure wonderful!

See how HUGE!? If I wanted to (which I do), I could totally move in.

The downside? When I tidy, I tidy. As the chinchillas were moved from one room to another, I actually cleaned out the old room so much that it took me 3 hours to finish … and it was only 6 ft by 8. At least the end result looks nice!

See? I wasn’t lying! (Note: I took this photo because of my cat, not because I was proud of my tidying skills)

This is one of the chinchillas trying out one of my homemade hammocks.

I know what you are thinking. You are thinking, ‘Oh My God. I wish I could make something like that.’

Well, let me tell you. It wasn’t easy. Especially as I am not gifted at sewing/patchwork/putting eyelets in. It took me near enough three weeks. During that time, there were moments when I calmly gave the sewing machine a time out by shoving him into the cupboard. I am not proud to say that I threw some of the hammocks onto the floor in anger.

But now, look at them! Hanging out in the cage.

Oh, and I forgot to mention (I actually have been dying to blurt it out earlier on but I didn’t want to appear too big headed) you are now reading a ‘Best Actress’ blog. That’s right people! Today, William Mager (the director of My Song) facebooked that I have won at the Festival Clin d’Oeil in France!

I am going to end on this amazing news. I think I might go and grab a coke zero to celebrate. Maybe even go to a car boot sale in the morning.
